Sluggish Pat's fall to Waterford

Goals from Paul McCarthy and Vinny Sullivan gave Waterford their biggest win of the season to knock St. Patrick's off the top of the table.

St Pat's were sluggish from the off and McCarthy headed Blues in front from Daryl Kavanagh's free-kick on 42 minutes.

Dave Mulcahy punished a defensive error to equalise on 64 minutes, but Blues hit back for their winner a minute later.

Debutant Willy John Kiely sent off a terrific cross from the right and Sullivan head home off a post.
