Tottenham sporting director Damien Comolli believes the club are in a position to improve on last season’s fifth-placed Premier League finish following the signings of Gareth Bale and Darren Bent.
Bent’s arrival at White Hart Lane from Charlton was announced yesterday, with the £16.5m deal smashing the club-record £11m paid for Sergei Rebrov seven years ago.
