Cork City look to build on Intertoto success

Longford Town host Cork City tonight with their visitors in the middle of an Intertoto Cup clash with Icelandic side Valur.

City easily won the first leg in Iceland so will be full of confidence ahead of tonight's encounter.

Town will be boosted by the return of Pat Sullivan into the squad but tonight's game has come too soon for Robbie Martin who nears a return to full fitness.

Kevin Doherty and Shay Kelly remain out injured for Longford.

City's Colm Carroll remains out with a cruciate knee ligament injury, while Brian O’Callaghan has definitely been ruled out with a groin strain.

Seán Kelly and Darren Murphy were both substituted against Valur with knocks, but boss Damien Richardson will be hopeful of having a virtually full-strength panel to choose from.

Kick-off at Flancare Park is at 7.45pm.
