Liverpool confirm Benayoun interest

Liverpool have confirmed they are chasing West Ham midfielder Yossi Benayoun.

The Israel international is delaying signing a new five-year contract at Upton Park - having verbally agreed to the deal three weeks ago - now that he is aware of Liverpool's interest.
