Reds to offer new deals to more Anfield stars

Liverpool will move to add the names of Xabi Alonso and Jose Reina to the list of players accepting new contracts in the wake of the double re-signing of Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher.

The England duo sealed new four-year deals tying them to Anfield until 2011 yesterday, but manager Rafael Benitez could have more trouble keeping Alonso as he prepares for the new season.
