O'Flynn rescues a point for Cork City
Cork City 1 Derry City 1
John O'Flynn rescued a point for Cork with a second half equaliser, but this has to go down as two points dropped by Damien Richardson's side from a match they dominated.
Patrick Jennings pulled off stunning saves from Darragh Ryan and Joe Gamble to thwart a rampant Cork before Derry stunned the 3,000 crowd by taking the lead on 39 minutes totally against the run of play.
And a very contentious goal it was. Gary Beckett shaped to take a free-kick, but it was taken quickly by Gareth McGlynn with Cork claiming the ball was rolling.
The result saw Mark Farren clean through, with Cork also claiming he was offside, and the striker ran on to shoot low past McNulty.
Cork got back on top in the second half with O'Flynn blasting to the net to level on 64 minutes before Roy O'Donovan and Gamble came close to winning it late on.
