Galway win bottom-of-the-table battle

Galway moved ten points clear of rock bottom Longford with this facile win at Flancare Park.

Galway didn't look back once they took the lead on two minutes from Stephen O'Flynn's penalty after Town skipper Damien Brennan had hauled down Derek O'Brien.

O'Brien then provided the pass to put Derek Glynn in to round Mick Dempsey and slide home Galway's second goal on 18 minutes.

Glynn then scored a terrific second goal 12 minutes from time to complete the rout.
