Emerton eyes Asian Cup

Blackburn Rovers midfielder Brett Emerton has declared his allegiance to Australia’s Asian Cup challenge despite a potential overlap with the Ewood Park side’s Intertoto Cup campaign.

The Socceroos are among the favourites to win the Asian Cup and should Graham Arnold’s side reach the July 29 final in Jakarta, the continental showdown would clash with the potentially lucrative Intertoto Cup.
