Double defensive boost for Bolton

Abdoulaye Faye and Tal Ben Haim – key defenders in Bolton’s push for Europe - are both expected to be passed fit for the crucial Premiership match against Aston Villa.

Faye, who has missed three games with an infected toe, and Ben Haim, sidelined for two matches with an injured knee, have responded well to treatment this week.

That has left El-Hadji Diouf (hamstring), Nicky Hunt (calf) and Joey O’Brien (knee) as Bolton’s only absentees.
