Shamrock Rovers v Sligo Rovers team news

Shamrock Rovers and Sligo Rovers go head to head in the eircom League of Ireland Premier Division clash at Tolka Park tonight, kick-off 8.00pm.

Long-term injuries Paul Shiels and Eric McGill are the only absentees from Pat Scully’s squad as Rovers look to get back to winning ways after three tough games with Cork, Drogheda and St Pat’s.

Tadhg Purcell, Ger Rowe, Danny O'Connor and captain Aidan Price are all carrying knocks but are expected to be involved tonight.

‘Tadhg is still not 100%,’ said Scully. ‘But we're aiming to get him involved at some stage in the game against Sligo Rovers. The same goes for Ger Rowe, who's badly bruised.

‘Danny O'Connor has an ankle injury but should be okay, while Ger O'Brien has a shin problem and I'd rate his chances of playing as no better than 50-50. Aidan Price should be fit to start.’

Sligo are missing several key players ahead of their trip to meet Rovers.

Gary Curran, Richard Brush, Conor O’Grady and Jason McCarthy are all out injured.

Brian Cash also remains out and it should be five or six weeks before he returns.
