Linfield look to secure top spot
Linfield travel to the Oval to face Glentoran in tonight's Setanta Sports Cup Group 1 fixture, kick-off 8.05pm.
While there is nothing to play for in terms of qualification, this Belfast derby will always be an entertaining affair no matter what the occasion.
A win will give Linfield top spot in the group, which will guarantee a home draw for the semi-finals so David Jeffery should put out a strong side.
Veterans Glenn Ferguson and Noel Bailie will probably be rested, however, Thomas Stewart and Kris Lindsay will be hoping to start as they have impressed in the competition this season.
William Murphy and Paul McAreavey are also doubts for the Blues as both are carrying injuries.
"A few players are carrying knocks and we will have to assess their condition before deciding our line-up for the game," said Blues boss Jeffrey.
"It is an important game for us as we don't want to be travelling away for our semi-final," he added.
Darren Lockhart should return to the Glentoran set-up after injury, and there may be starts for Philip Carson and BJ McMenamin.
