Hutton scores for Candystripes
Waterford United 0 Derry City 1
Peter Hutton scored a late winner to lift the pressure on Derry boss Pat Fenlon as the Candystripes won for the first time in seven games.
Skipper Hutton struck with 15 minutes to play when shooting home after Blues had failed to clear Ruaidhri Higgins' corner.
Blues keeper Dean Delaney had earlier made a superb save from Kevin McHugh before excelling again to deprive Kevin Deery.
Mark Farren then hit a post two minutes from time as Derry could have extended their winning margin.
