Carsley denies criticising Staunton

Ireland midfielder Lee Carsley claims he was misquoted when he appeared to criticise Steve Staunton's approach to Saturday's Euro 2008 qualifier against Wales.

The Everton player said after the match: "He just named the team really, he didn't actually go through any roles to be honest."
