Bruce hopeful of Cole loan

Birmingham manager Steve Bruce is optimistic of completing the loan signing of Portsmouth striker Andy Cole in the next 24 hours.

Bruce, who played with Cole at Manchester United a decade ago, wants the quality and experience of the striker to supplement his young strike force in the push for promotion to the Barclays Premiership.
