Final rivals appeal red cards

Arsenal and Chelsea have lodged appeals against the sendings-off of Emmanuel Adebayor and Mikel John Obi during the Carling Cup final.

Both players were dismissed for violent conduct during yesterday’s injury-time fracas in which Gunners defender Kolo Toure was also dismissed.
