West Ham have signed defender Matthew Upson from Birmingham for an initial fee of £6m.

West Ham have signed defender Matthew Upson from Birmingham for an initial fee of £6m.

The Hammers had already seen offers of £4m and £6m rejected by Blues boss Steve Bruce and the board of directors for Upson.
