Ferguson hails Dong

Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson is predicting a bright future for striker Dong Fangzhuo.

The 22-year-old China international has been handed the number 21 shirt after receiving a work permit following a spell at feeder club Royal Antwerp.

Dong scored 11 goals in 15 appearances in Belgium before being recalled to United.

A new deal to 2010 followed and Ferguson said: “He had two-and-a-half years in Antwerp and made a great sacrifice.

“He has been very patient and will remain with us.

“He is a big, strong boy who is very quick and athletic.”
