Hughes: Bang out of order
Blackburn manager Mark Hughes has rounded on Al Bangura for the challenge that ended Robbie Savage’s season.
The Welsh midfielder has undergone a successful operation to have a pin inserted in his broken leg.
On reviewing the incident which occurred during the 2-1 defeat by Watford on Tuesday, Hughes told BBC Radio Lancashire: “It was a poor challenge – a little bit high.
“He has caught Robbie just above the ankle, who has paid the consequences.
“Only the lad can tell you whether it was deliberate or with intent. You will have to ask the guy who was involved.”
