Lee interesting Latics
Wigan boss Paul Jewell is chasing South Korea star Lee Chun-soo.
The former Asian Young Footballer of the Year has emerged as a target as Jewell desperately attempts to strengthen his squad.
The 25-year-old striker, who currently plays for Ulsan Tigers in Korea’s K-League, is apparently eager to return to Europe.
Following his performances for South Korea in the 2002 World Cup finals, Lee joined Real Sociedad in 2003, becoming the first Korean to play in the Primera Liga.
He failed to recapture the form that helped his country reach the semi-finals and moved on to Numancia before returning home.
Wigan have recently watched Lee, who scored South Korea’s opening goal of last year’s World Cup finals in a 2-1 win over Togo.
