Eboue desperate for Gunners comeback
Arsenal full-back Emmanuel Eboue has targeted Sunday’s Barclays Premiership clash with Manchester United for his return to action.
The Ivory Coast defender has been troubled with an ankle problem he suffered before Christmas, and which flared up again during the recent FA Cup win over Liverpool.
Eboue, 23, now hopes he can be back in contention for the visit of the Premiership leaders to the Emirates Stadium.
He told www.Arsenal.com: “I have been injured since the game against Portsmouth and when I trained I was still feeling it a little bit.
“But I am hoping to be back for the game against Manchester United. I really, really want to play in that game.”
Midfielder Gilberto will be suspended following his red card at Blackburn, while Freddie Ljungberg is continuing his recovery from a hamstring problem.
