Key duo back for Boro

Middlesbrough’s defence will be bolstered by the return of key players Jonathan Woodgate and Mark Schwarzer for tomorrow’s Barclays Premiership relegation match at Charlton.

Both players missed last weekend’s 1-1 FA Cup third-round draw at Hull, but centre-half Woodgate has shaken off a hip injury while goalkeeper Schwarzer has overcome a back problem.

With only Robert Huth (foot) the only first-team contender still sidelined, Boro will be virtually at full strength at The Valley with manager Gareth Southgate’s only dilemma whether to stick with a 4-4-2 formation or play safe with 4-5-1.
