Stars come out for Blackburn

Blackburn manager Mark Hughes will bring back his star players as his side aim to atone for last month’s 6-2 mauling by Arsenal in the return fixture at Ewood Park tomorrow.

Benni McCarthy, Robbie Savage and Brett Emerton were among the stars rested for last week’s 4-1 FA Cup win at Everton while Shabani Nonda is also pushing for a place after a groin strain.

Defender Lucas Neill returns after serving a one-match suspension but David Bentley sits out the match with a ban.

Long-term injury victims Ryan Nelsen, Steven Reid and Jay Roberts are expected to resume training in the near future.
