Beckham talks with LA Galaxy confirmed

David Beckham’s representatives are in talks over a move to Major League Soccer (MLS) franchise Los Angeles Galaxy, MLS spokesman Dan Courtemanche revealed today.

According to Courtemanche, officials from Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG), parent company of LA Galaxy, are in ongoing discussions with representatives of Beckham, who is out of contract at Real Madrid in the summer.

“AEG, and specifically the Los Angeles Galaxy from MLS, are speaking to his representatives and I have seen the reports where clearly he is continuing his talks with Real Madrid and clubs throughout the world. But that is a question for David and his representatives,” Courtemanche said.

“Reports that he has signed a contract are simply not true at this time. It’s an ongoing process and clearly if David Beckham decided to sign a contract to play in MLS with Los Angeles Galaxy, we will let people know as soon as that occurs.”
