Latics play down striker link

Wigan have dismissed the claim they are poised to sign striker Chinedu Ogbuke for £3m (€4.5m) from Norwegian side Lyn Oslo.

It was suggested Wigan had already agreed the fee with Lyn, and that personal terms would be discussed during a two-week trial.

However, boss Paul Jewell is merely looking at the Nigerian for a couple of days this week, with no permanent deal on the table.
