King out for Spurs

Tottenham captain Ledley King is not in the squad for today’s Premiership clash against Liverpool at White Hart Lane.

King’s place in the starting XI is taken by Calum Davenport, while Dimitar Berbatov is on the bench after suffering illness this week.

Berbataov is replaced in attack by Mido, the Egypt striker who recently recovered from a groin injury.

The visitors have dropped Peter Crouch to the bench in favour of Dirk Kuyt.

The only other change from the side beaten by Blackburn is Fabio Aurelio coming in for centre-back Sami Hyypia.
