Friedel plays on

Brad Friedel will continue in goal for Blackburn against Middlesbrough tomorrow despite being troubled by a dead leg.

Friedel was unable to take goal-kicks during the Boxing Day win over Liverpool but Rovers boss Mark Hughes is happy to let the former USA international play on.

Hughes is likely to name an unchanged side but there is some good news on the injury front, with Francis Jeffers due to return to training on Wednesday after a recent hamstring problem.
