Lyon target Trezeguet signing

Juventus striker David Trezeguet remains top of Lyon's wish list this Christmas despite the Ligue 1 champions having failed in their initial bid to land the France international.

Les Gones are keen to strengthen their front line ahead of their Champions League encounters with Roma following injuries to Karim Benzema, Fred and John Carew.

The club's sporting director, Bernard Lacombe, told France 3: "We went to Turin to discuss Trezeguet with Juventus.

"But they said no immediately and I doubt they will change their minds easily. We will not back down because David would be very important for us."
