Tom Huddlestone fired his first Barclays Premiership goal to end Manchester City’s proud unbeaten home record and secure Tottenham’s first away win of the season.

Huddlestone crashed home a superb half-volley in the 25th minute to put the visitors further in front after Calum Davenport headed a 16th minute opener.

City fought back well in the second half with the influential Barton converting Paul Dickov’s 64th minute cross to set up a grandstand finish.
