Upson issues transfer message

Matthew Upson has told Birmingham it will be in “their interest” to sell him during the January transfer window if they want to maximise the transfer fee they will receive for his services.

But there was some good news for City manager Steve Bruce with skipper Damien Johnson putting pen to paper on a new contract which will keep him at St Andrews until the summer of 2010.
