Cahill set for starting spot

Central defender Gary Cahill is poised to make his first start of the season for Aston Villa in the Barclays Premiership clash with Everton at Goodison Park.

The centre-back, who impressed in the latter stages of last season, has recovered from a knee problem and is in line to replace Martin Laursen who could be out for up to three months with his own knee injury.
