Emerton set for Rovers return

Blackburn full-back Brett Emerton could return to the side for tomorrow’s Ewood Park clash with Premiership leaders Manchester United.

Emerton has missed the last three matches with a hamstring strain, but yesterday returned to training to put himself in contention.

Manager Mark Hughes, though, is still without three key players in midfielders Robbie Savage (thigh) and Steven Reid (back), as well as striker Jason Roberts (metatarsal).
