Major League Soccer (MLS) chiefs are working out the financial implications of what they see as a “terrific” chance to bring former England captain David Beckham to the United States.

Beckham’s contract at Real Madrid expires at the end of the season, and he will be allowed to speak to other clubs from January 1 if he does not pen a new deal by then.
