League Managers Association chief executive John Barnwell has branded Arsene Wenger’s touchline spat with Alan Pardew “unacceptable” – but insists it is an inevitable part of the modern game.

Barnwell is in the process of setting up a meeting with the two bosses in a bid to get to the bottom of the apparent shoving match which marred West Ham’s Upton Park win over Arsenal.
