Antonio Cassano has no intention of leaving Real Madrid, according to his agent. The Italian striker has been training separately from Madrid’s first team following last week’s verbal outburst against coach Fabio Capello.
Real Madrid sporting director Predrag Mijatovic said on Monday that Cassano would not apologise to his former Roma mentor.
Cassano has been linked with a move to Newcastle in the winter transfer market, however, his agent Giuseppe Bozzo insists the player will remain with the Spanish giants.
“The situation is complicated but we have to wait and see what happens,” Bozzo said to PA Sport.
“The player has not requested to be transferred, his intention is to remain at Real Madrid. I haven’t heard any interest from other squads because the player has no interest in leaving Madrid.”
Cassano joined Madrid in the January transfer market and has made just four league appearances this season and scored once.
