Ajax returned to the Eredivisie summit on Sunday after a convincing 3-0 win at Heracles.

PSV Eindhoven had gone top on Saturday following a 3-0 win over NAC Breda but the defending champions dropped to second thanks to the Amsterdammers’ performance in Almelo.
