Clichy called up for Arsenal

Justin Hoyte passed a fitness test on his injured back and Gael Clichy came in to enable Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger to play William Gallas in the centre of defence against CSKA Moscow at the Emirates Stadium.

Frenchman Clichy was called up at the expense of 19-year-old Johan Djourou, who had to settle for a place on the bench alongside Theo Walcott.

CSKA had Brazilian striker Vagner Love back in action after a thigh muscle injury.
