Scholes sight problems continue

Paul Scholes is still experiencing vision problems, Manchester United boss Alex Ferguson has revealed.

The midfielder missed the second half of last season with an eye problem but appeared to have made a full recovery when he returned to action this term.

But Ferguson said in The Sun: “There is a slight haziness in the central part of one eye. We have worked on the situation to try to minimise it.

“I think there is no problem with the actual vision in terms of being able to play football.”

Scholes, 31, suffered double vision in his right eye after suffering a blow to the head against Birmingham last December.

A prolonged period of rest saw Scholes’ vision improve enough for him to start this season and it does not appear to be effecting his form, with the former England midfielder winning rave reviews for his performances to date.
