Shepherd dismisses Eriksson link

Newcastle chairman Freddy Shepherd has dismissed suggestions that former England coach Sven-Goran Eriksson could be on his way to St James’ Park.

Reports today claimed the Swede was targeting Glenn Roeder’s job, although his agent Athole Still swiftly issued a denial.
