Pearson steps down

Nigel Pearson has stepped down from his role as caretaker manager at West Brom with immediate effect.

Pearson had been expected to take the reins for tonight's Coca Cola Championship match at Crystal Palace before new manager Tony Mowbray officially starts his duties tomorrow.
