Middlesbrough winger James Morrison has backed team-mate Stewart Downing to bounce back from his England disappointment.

The 22-year-old was left out of Steve McClaren’s side for last night’s 2-0 defeat in Croatia after receiving criticism for his recent performances at senior international level.
