Police investigate as Barton caught with pants down

The Football Association have been in contact with Merseyside Police following Manchester City midfielder Joey Barton’s shorts-dropping antics.

The FA have received match referee Andre Marriner’s report, which included details of the incident at the end of Saturday’s 1-1 draw between City and Everton at Goodison Park.
