Pearce trusts the young

Beleaguered Manchester City boss Stuart Pearce placed his trust in youth at Eastlands, handing 19-year-old Ishmael Miller his first Premiership start against West Ham.

After 13 defeats in 16 games, culminating in the embarrassing Carling Cup loss to Chesterfield, Pearce was in desperate need of three points against his former club, who are themselves without a win since the opening day.
