Skipper Dan Murray was villain and hero as Cork’s title retention aspiration suffered another blow at Belfield.

Murray was muscled off the ball on 71 minutes as Conor Sammon burst through to shoot past Mick Devine to give UCD an unlikely lead.

But Murray made amends four minutes later when latching onto a loose ball and finding the net with a stunning 25-yard drive.
