Black Cats hail Keane

Roy Keane was greeted by applause from fans when he arrived at the Stadium of Light for Sunderland’s clash with West Brom.

The 35-year-old former Manchester United skipper was due to be confirmed as the Black Cats’ new boss following the match after personal terms were agreed yesterday.

Keane had already met players and officials at the club, who are bottom of the Coca-Cola Championship after four straight defeats.
