Real Madrid midfielder Thomas Gravesen hopes to have his future sorted “within the next 48 hours”, according to his agent, John Sivebaek.

The 30-year-old is wanted by Celtic although Newcastle boss Glenn Roeder is also interested in the ex-Everton player.

However, with Gravesen set to link up with the Denmark squad for the forthcoming Euro 2008 qualifier against Iceland, he wants a swift decision on his immediate future.

Sivebaek told the Scottish Daily Mail: “There is a good chance with Celtic and we will wait and see.

“Everything is okay financially, although we have had quite similar talks with some other clubs. It now comes down to a decision club-to-club if they agree the transfer fee.

“There are still other clubs interested, but I think we will be getting a bit close within the next two days.

“We are working very hard on this. Hopefully, there will be a conclusion within 48 hours because Thomas has to join the national team.”
