Watford to face Carrick comeback

Michael Carrick will make his first Premiership start for Manchester United at Watford today following his summer move from Tottenham.

Carrick replaced Patrice Evra in the only change to the United side from the XI that started the midweek 3-0 win at Charlton.

For Watford, Richard Lee replaced Ben Foster in goal as the latter was ineligible for the game under the terms of his year-long loan from Old Trafford.

Watford: Lee, Doyley, DeMerit, Shittu, Powell, Young, Francis, Mahon, Bouazza, King, Henderson.

Replacements: Chamberlain, Stewart, Mackay, Bangura, Spring.

Man Utd: Van der Sar, Brown, Silvestre, Ferdinand, O’Shea, Ronaldo, Fletcher, Carrick, Giggs, Saha, Solskjaer.
