Derry City unseeded in group two of UEFA Cup draw
Derry City are unseeded and have been placed in group two for this afternoon's UEFA Cup first round draw in Monaco.
City could be drawn against Panathinaikos of Greece, Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin, French outfit Paris Saint Germain, Austria Vienna or Litex Lovech of Bulgaria, who knocked Longford Town out of the UEFA Cup in 2001-02.
All 32 winners from the second qualifying round go into the pots along with the sides who received a bye to the first round and the 16 sides defeated in the UEFA Champions League third qualifying round.
For the draw, the teams have been split into eight groups of 10, with five seeds in each pool to be drawn against any of the five unseeded clubs.
The sides that emerge victorious from the two-legged ties, scheduled for 14 and 28 September, will then be divided up into eight pools of five, with the first of five group-stage Matchdays on 19 October.
