McClaren sees future without Beckham

New England boss Steve McClaren admitted today he had told former captain David Beckham that he “wanted to go in a different direction” and was leaving him out of the squad for next week’s friendly against Greece at Old Trafford.

Beckham who gave up the England captaincy following the team’s miserable World Cup performance, now seems to be out in the cold.
