Belgian side Club Brugge look set to sign Brian Priske from Portsmouth on a four-year deal.

The Danish defender joined Portsmouth from Genk last term and went on to make 33 appearances for the club.

However, the 29-year-old has been deemed surplus to requirements and is now ready to return to Jupiler League.

“There are still some minor details to sort out but there is little doubt that I will join Brugge,” Priske told Het Laatste Nieuws.

“I think that I will put pen to paper on Monday night. I see my return as a gift of God. I‘m joining the top team in Belgium and I will also link up with a former team-mate (Jos Daerden), which makes this proposition even more attractive.”
