Sebo keen on Rangers move
Rangers target Filip Sebo has arranged to meet his club’s billionaire owner today in a desperate attempt to win a move to Ibrox.
The 22-year-old Austria Vienna striker is keen to join Light Blues’ boss Paul Le Guen in Glasgow even though the two clubs failed to agree on a transfer fee.
Officials from the Austrian club issued a statement on Tuesday insisting the transfer was definitely off and that the Slovakian was happy to stay.
However, Sebo has dismissed his club’s assertion and will meet with Vienna’s wealthy owner Frank Stronach to plead his case for a move to Rangers.
He said: “I know what the general manager has said and what the directors have said about the transfer not going ahead.
“But they don’t run the club – Frank Stronach does – and he is the one who makes all the decisions. I have requested a meeting with him and I am confident that if I tell him that I 100% want to join Rangers, he will let me go.
“I am determined to play for Rangers and I still believe I will go to Scotland.”
